ABOUT

Monograms are created by carefully combining two or more letters, the combination of which makes a compact, harmonious and recognizable whole. When drawing and creating letters, I pay special attention to every detail. It is important that all lines and elements together form a unique and visually pleasing shape. I find inspiration in different styles that were current during the previous centuries.

When designing, I do not use letters that I have already drawn on other projects, nor existing examples of other artists. Each monogram is unique.

Handmade drafts are the most important phase of my creative process for each project. Experimenting with different forms and elements to the perfection and preparing of several drafts for presentation to the clients represent a part of process of creating your monogram. In the final stage of production, I refine and complete that drawing in programs for drawing and photo processing. The programs serve as auxiliary tools that make it easier for me to precisely shape the letters and experiment with colors and shapes. In this way, monograms get a digital form.

I was introduced to the world of monograms and heraldry while studying history and fine arts in elementary school, and they have been my permanent occupation and passion ever since.

Further higher education in the field, as well as working experience in several companies, helped me to acquire a broad knowledge in the field of graphic design and photography and to get better acquainted with different techniques of printing, embroidery, engraving and making ceramic objects.

As a heraldic artist, during 20 years of work I have designed a large number of ecclesiastical, personal, royal, municipal and corporate coats of arms, monograms, charters and decorations.
